“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.”
Ephesians 4:15
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person — such a man is an idolater — has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people.
“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasureand will – to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.”
“Father, keep us alert and vigilant since our enemy, the devil, runs around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. We don’t want to be enslaved by him who is the father of lies. His deceit has brought down scores of godly people because they were not on their guard. We know the way to protect ourselves is by wearing the armor of God mentioned in Ephesians 6, practicing discernment, and being prayerful in every situation. It’s in Jesus’ name that we pray. Amen.”
“Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)— remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.”
