Father, it is during times of discouragement or bewilderment that I find myself more attentive to Your instruction. My heart is more absorbing of the truths You want to convey when I walk in obedience and leave the results to You. Help me to always remember that You are the Teacher and I am the student. I welcome the wisdom of the Master to guide me into all truths, and sustain me in the moments of silence and waiting.

Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you.
Father, the example of Hezekiah reminds us that doing our work diligently and honestly is pleasing in Your sight. We are to seek You wholeheartedly as we carry out our responsibilities, whether it is at work or at home. In our temporal earthy dwelling we want to apply eternal kingdom principles in all we do and say rather than possessing a complaining, discontent demeanor. As we are faithful in pursuing righteousness and spreading peace and joy You prosper us in our family relations, our places of employment, our relationships, and in our financial endeavors. We thank You for Your blessings in the name of Jesus.

The Lord will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates.
Father, You are our light, our strength, and our song; the Cornerstone of our faith and our solid ground that holds us firm through the fiercest drought and darkest storm. In the midst of tremendous trial, we can still find heights of love and depths of peace that still our fears and release sweet assurance to our souls. From our first cry to our final breath You command our destiny and no enemy can thwart Your plan for our lives. We stand in Your power and walk in Your strength through Christ Jesus our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen.

Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
Father, we’re grateful for those throughout history who chose to be men and women of faith, whose hearts were fashioned in Your image, for those who served Your purpose in their generation. We also want to serve Your purpose in our generation. Help us to stay steadfast and strong as we run this race set before us. Thankfully, in this race, we’re not in competition to be the only prizewinner. Instead we take hold of the hands of those who run with us and invite those on the sidelines to join us. We want to cross the finish line together so that we will all receive the grand prize of life eternal with You. May we never give up! Amen
